ARE you heartbroken with a feeling that love is lost, then dry your tears and get ready for some good news. Myne Whitman, author of the best selling Nigerian romance novel, A Heart To Mend is coming to town. According to the United States based author whose real name is Nkem Okotcha, she will arriving the shores of the country on the 26th this month to finally meet her fans as well as offer them a chance to hear her read.
“For everybody that has been waiting with issues of the heart, be happy and get ready because I am coming home to meet my friends,” she said. While in Nigeria, Whitman will be having some series of events to promote her debut novel, A Heart To Mend which has been acclaimed the best recent romance novel by a Nigerian author. Some of the activities Whitman will be featuring are Celebrity Read Africa which will hold in Lagos on Saturday 27th November, Pen Society Fund Raiser also in Lagos will hold on Saturday 4th December before she will move to Rivers State for the Garden City Literary Festival Port Harcourt holding from 8 - 11 December this year.
The next stop for Myne who describes herself as friendly, caring and fun-loving. Though quiet and laid-back will be in Abuja for the Guild of Artistes and Poets ( 19 December) before moving down to Enugu State for the Coal City Literary Forum which holds in Enugu on 21 December 2010.
The author left the best for the last and urges all her fans who want to get her autograph and have their copies of A Heart to Mend signed to follow her to Asaba, the Delta State capital for her book reading and Signing on the 2 January 2011. With all the activities lined up, any heart that has some issues will surely be mended.
