"Myne Whitman, a Nigerian romance writer and blogger based in America, in this interview with AWAAL GATA, talks about her two novels, A Heart to Mend and A Love Rekindled. She also dissects the reasons why she is a romance writer and how the internet has globalised writers.
When and how did you start writing?
I have been writing for quite a while now. I remember writing while still in primary and secondary schools, but I only became serious when I got to the University. The decision to send my work out into the world matured around the middle of 2009. I had just moved to the United States and being unable to work at first, I began writing full time, initially for six months. I joined a writing group, started a blog, and people seemed to like what I had to write about. Eventually, I made up my mind to pursue this full time writing career and see where it took me."
